Behavioral Health Services in Schools 

Banner – University Family Care/ALTCS (B – UFC/ALTCS) helps families connect to behavioral health (BH) services through their student’s school. BH Services at school help students with their well-being. These services can help students feel better and do well in school. Schools can collaborate with providers to help students be successful both in and out of the classroom.  

Information for Parents and Caregivers 

B – UFC/ALTCS created the following handout with the Arizona AHCCCS health plans. The handout offers more information about behavioral health services in schools including:

Information for Schools

B – UFC/ALTCS helps schools and BH providers work together to support students and their families. If a school is interested in BH services at school, the school can email the Children’s System of Care (CSOC) team at CSOC@BannerHealth.com. CSOC can assist with:

  • Training opportunities for school administrators and staff
  • Providing education and resources for school staff
  • Helping schools make connections with BH providers.

B – UFC/ALTCS School-Based Behavioral Health service areas include the following counties: Cochise, Gila, Graham, Greenlee, La Paz, Maricopa, Pima, Pinal, Santa Cruz and Yuma. The following link has information about providers offering BH Services in schools:

Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) wants to ensure a smooth and easy process for school districts to refer students to community behavioral health providers.
