Effective on October 1, 2025, drugs manufactured by Bausch and its subsidiaries will not be covered. There are some drugs that may not have a clinical replacement.
We want to bring to your attention Xifaxan (Rifaximin), which will no longer be covered beginning October 1, 2025. We urge you to seek compassionate use for your patients under patient assistance programs as soon as possible. Sources of information for patient assistance programs include RxAssist, www.RxAssist.org, and Bausch, www.BauschHealthPAP.com/products.
This change is required by AHCCCS due to CMS Medicaid Drug Rebate Program guidelines. Please reference the AHCCCS Pharmacy Updates, www.AzAHCCCS.gov/members/pharmacy/ for a copy of the letter that was distributed, a list of all drugs impacted, and manufacturer contact information.
